drillbag

a drill coordinator for your crew

Everybody wants more reps. Nobody wants to do the scheduling.

Drillbag runs the week for a private pickleball drilling group. Somebody posts a court, the right people hear about it, and the first tap takes the spot. That's the whole app.

The askNobody has to turn you down.

Asking a better player to drill is an ask with your name on it. It costs you something to send and it costs them something to turn down. So a lot of the time nobody replies, and after that happens twice you stop asking. A session posted on Drillbag is not addressed to anybody. Somebody takes it or nobody does. Nobody is turned down, because nobody was asked. The better player sees a session they can take on a free night, instead of a request they have to answer. Some nights they take it.

It's been running for one crew in Boise since September: 21 people, 20 sessions, posted by 8 of them.

Getting inDrill with someone who's on it? Ask them for a link.

It's invite only. Someone already on Drillbag adds you from their PEOPLE page and texts you a link. Tap it and you're in. There's no signup here.

Don't know anyone on it yet? Your crew can have its own Drillbag: your sessions, your people, and nothing of anyone else's. Leave your email and we'll let you know as soon as we're ready to open it up to you and your crew.

Used to let you know, and for nothing else. Never shared, never sold.

Want the whole picture first? Everything people ask, from getting in to what it knows about you, is at www.drillbag.app/faq.

The tiersWho can join your session is up to you.

You sort the people you drill with into three tiers. Post a session and your Tier 1 hears about it first. If it's still short by the time you set, it opens to your next tier. Nobody is shown where you put them. Nobody outside your tiers hears a thing, except Paul, who runs Drillbag and hears about every post in his own crew.

It works the same way back. You only see a session when the person who posted it put you in a tier. No feed, no group text, nothing to scroll.

NotificationsHow members hear.

Drillbag reaches you first with a ping on your phone, once you turn notifications on. Without them, it texts you only if you added your own number, and otherwise emails you if it has your address.

The textsHow the texts work.

Drillbag can text members about their own group's sessions: a spot opening up, a session going ON, a session moving or getting called off, and one question after a session about whether it ran. It also texts a member their own sign-in link when they ask for one. Texts come from (888) 996-5850 and about nothing else.

The fine print

You opt yourself in. Texts start only after you add your own number on the Reminders card inside the app. Nobody can opt you in but you, and opting in is never a condition of using Drillbag.

Message frequency varies with your group's activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
