questions
Tap a question. If yours isn't here, write to [email protected].
There isn't one. Whoever brought you in texted you a link. That link is your login. Tap it and you're in, and that phone stays signed in.
Want it on a computer? Tap your name at the top, hit EMAIL ME MY LINK, and open the email there.
Signed out? Put in your number or email at www.drillbag.app/signin. Drillbag texts you a fresh one if you get its texts, or emails it if it has your email. Nothing came? Write to [email protected].
No. Anyone holding your link is you. If it gets out, write to [email protected] for a new one and the old one stops working everywhere.
Want a friend in? Next question.
Only add people you'd actually drill with.
Open PEOPLE and go to ADD SOMEONE. Type their number first. It's how Drillbag knows if they're already here. Then their name. Then say who'd drill with them.
My crew too: they join your crew, and once they've opened their link everyone in your crew who has you in a tier gets asked about them. Nobody is told who said yes.
Just me: they start a crew of their own. They can find you and nobody else, and nobody in your crew is asked or told. It can't be switched later.
Then tap a tier. They show up in that tier with a Copy invite button. Copy it and text it to them yourself. Drillbag never texts anyone who hasn't asked it to.
When they tap it they're in, and that phone stays signed in. Opened it somewhere else first, like a laptop or another app? The same link still works until Drillbag has a way to send them a fresh one: their own tap on TEXT ME REMINDERS, or an email. Then it stops working. If they lose it before opening it, Copy invite is still on their row. They start with you in their Tier 1. They can move you any time. A session of yours shows up for them when it reaches the tier you put them in, and they hear about it while you're in their Tier 1 or 2.
Anyone else, send them to www.drillbag.app. They can get on the list for a crew of their own.
twenty seconds on how
On an iPhone, tap the dots at the bottom of Safari, then Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open Drillbag from the new icon, tap your name at the top, then turn on notifications. On Android, no home screen needed.
It opens like an app from then on, no browser bar. It pings you instead of texting.
Tap your name, then Forget me on this phone. That phone is signed out, and nothing else changes. If that phone was your only way in, put in your number or email at www.drillbag.app/signin. Drillbag texts you a fresh link if you get its texts, or emails it if it has your email. Nothing came? Write to [email protected].
Your order of who you'd rather drill with. When you post, Tier 1 sees it first. If it's still short by the time you set, it widens to your next tier. After that, widening is up to you.
The more people you sort, the further your sessions can reach. Not sure about someone? Put them in Tier 3. They see your session last, and only if you widen it that far.
Tiers are yours alone. They're not a ranking anyone else sees. Whoever brought you in starts in your Tier 1. Move them any time.
Want it in pictures? How tiers work, three diagrams.
Your crew is who you can find. Your people are who you drill with.
Your crew is the group you came in with. You can add them from PEOPLE without knowing a number. Everyone in your crew shares it, and you stay in it.
Your people are everyone you've put in a tier. They're yours alone, and nobody else's look the same.
You can have people outside your crew. Add someone as Just me, or drill with someone from another crew and add them after. Sessions travel on tiers, not crews. One reaches you when the poster has you in a tier it's open to, same crew or not.
No. Nobody is shown where you put them, or whether you put them anywhere. The only thing anyone sees is a session, or nothing.
You see a session when the poster has you in a tier it's open to. If they haven't put you anywhere, or it hasn't widened to your tier yet, it's not on your WEEK. It might show up later.
Someone crossed your path who isn't in your tiers yet. Maybe you joined their session, you drilled together, or one of you just joined Drillbag. One tap puts them in a tier, so your sessions can reach them. Tier 1 and 2, you hear when they open a session to you. Tier 3, it lands on your WEEK quietly. Not sure? Put them in Tier 3. They see your session last, and only if you widen it that far. Tap No thanks and they stay out of your tiers. You can add them later from PEOPLE. They're never told either way.
How many times you and they have drilled through Drillbag. It counts a session when you were both there. Your own answer decides it for you. If you never answered, you count as there when someone who was there tapped your name. Only you see it. Nobody gets a total.
Yes. Open one of their sessions and tap Hide their sessions. Nothing from them reaches you until you unhide them on PEOPLE. They're never told.
WEEK is every session open to you. Pink I'M IN means there's room. Tap it and the spot is yours.
No. First tap takes the spot. Nobody can bump you, and when it's full it's full.
The poster set a range. It runs once three are in, and it can take four. The first number is the promise, the second is the ceiling.
Open the session and tap I need to drop out. Any time, no strikes, and the app records nothing. Your spot reopens and the next tap takes it.
The sorry text is between you and them. The app only handles the spot.
Enough people are in for it to run. It's still open if there's room left. Show up.
Half an hour after a session you were in ends, it asks if you drilled. Tap YES or No. If you drilled, tap the names of the players who showed up, then SAVE. It stays until you answer, up to two weeks. Only you see your answers. Nobody is shown who tapped whom. It's what the number under someone's name on PEOPLE is counted from.
If you've turned on notifications it pings you too. For a session you joined, it never texts you about this.
The poster left a note. Open the session to read it.
POST. Day, time, place, how many. Tap POST SESSION and it's in front of your Tier 1. First tap takes the spot, same as yours.
Open the session and tap WIDEN TO TIER 2. Or set it to widen on its own when you post, and it happens at the time you picked.
Yes. While there's a spot left and it hasn't started, the session page offers WIDEN TO TIER 2, or 3. Tap it and everyone there can see it. Locked or full, there's nothing to widen. The automatic widen only fires while the session is still short of the number it runs at.
Tap LOCK AS 1-ON-1, or lock at whatever number you've got. Nobody else can tap in. Change your mind and tap Unlock it.
Both, from the session page. Tap Edit it to move it or change the size. Everyone in keeps their spot, and they're told if the time or the place moves. Cancel it and it's off everyone's week with one note. No explanation needed.
Yes. There's a note line when you post, or later under Edit it. One line: "singles", "flexible an hour either way", whatever helps. It shows on the session page, and WEEK marks the session with a small gold icon. It never goes in a text.
Drillbag uses the first of these that works for you.
None of the three? You hear nothing. Sessions still show up on your WEEK, you just won't be told about them.
On an iPhone, put it on your home screen first. Tap the dots at the bottom of Safari, then Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open Drillbag from the new icon, tap your name at the top, then tap TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS
On Android, no home screen needed. Tap your name at the top, then tap TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS
Your phone asks once. Said no by mistake? You can change that in Settings.
Then it pings you instead of texting. Same things, as pings, plus the question after a session. Pings don't count against the two texts. Turn it off on the You page and the texts come back.
Tap your name at the top. Type your number and tap TEXT ME REMINDERS
Until you do, nothing texts you. While notifications are on, you get pings instead.
Texts come from (888) 996-5850. Save it as Drillbag so your phone doesn't file it as spam. Reply STOP and they stop.
Three situations as a claimer. With notifications on, you also get the question after a session. Posters get a few more, below.
Nothing when other people join. Nothing while a session is still filling. Nothing about a session you haven't claimed, unless someone in your Tier 1 or 2 opened it to you.
Someone in your Tier 3, or someone you haven't sorted, posts? If it's open to you, it's on your WEEK. You won't hear about their sessions until they're in your Tier 1 or 2.
Two texts per session at most, plus the news if it moves or gets cancelled.
You hear only when the poster is in your Tier 1 or 2. So they're in your Tier 3, or you haven't sorted them, or you sorted them after it opened. Or Drillbag has no way to reach you: no notifications, no texts, no email. Move them up on PEOPLE and you'll hear about the next one.
No. Nothing pings or texts you between 11 pm and 7 am. Anything that would've waits for 7 am, and the texts get folded into one.
The one exception is a session that starts before 7 am. News about it goes right away.
A few more, and only you see them. They're about your session, not about anyone else.
Reply STOP to any text. Or tap your name and clear your number. Either way, the texts stop and the app keeps working. Your sessions are still on your WEEK.
Turning on notifications stops them too.
Who you are. Your name and your sign-in link. Your number and email, whether you typed them or whoever added you did. A number someone else typed never gets you texts. Only your own tap on TEXT ME REMINDERS does. Who brought you in, and when. Your crew, which is who sees you under NOT IN YOUR TIERS once you've opened your link.
What you do. Sessions you posted, every change you made to one, any note, and the settings POST remembers from your last one. What you claimed and when, and any you said you can't make. Your answer to "Did you drill?", the names you tapped under "Who else made it?", and whether anyone who was there tapped yours. They only count who you've drilled with. Nobody is shown who tapped whom. Who's in your tiers, who you've taken out, and whose sessions you hid, and when. Your answers on the add-to-a-tier card, No thanks included.
How it reaches you. An address for your phone's notifications, if you turned them on. Every time you turned texts on or off, any STOP, START or HELP you sent, and any opt-out your carrier reports. A copy of every message it sends you, whether it arrived, and why when it decides not to send one. When a notification reached your phone: your phone tells Drillbag when it shows one, so a message it never showed can come by text instead.
When you use it. The first time you opened your link, which days you open the app and the time of your first open each day, and when you tap its links. When you left, and when you came back, if you did.
One note for Paul. If a number or email gets saved on two people, he gets a note naming both. Neither is told.
Not a member yet? If you left your email on the homepage to hear when Drillbag is ready for your crew, it keeps that email and when you left it, and Paul gets it by email so he can write back. Nothing else about you.
That's the whole list. No ads, no third-party trackers, nothing sold. Paul sees everyone's number and email, how each person hears from Drillbag, how often each opens the app, and how many sessions each has posted. Nobody else does.
The long version, with everything Paul can see and the services Drillbag runs on, is at www.drillbag.app/privacy.
No. Paul sees it on his roster, and nobody else in the app does. It's there for texts, and to keep one person from being added twice. If someone adding a new person types your number, the app tells them it's already yours. Your email works the same way.
Tap your name at the top, then Leave Drillbag. Drillbag stops reaching you and takes you off everyone's lists. Your history stays, so if you come back, it's all still there.
Coming back is your link. Tap it, then COME BACK, and you're where you were. The spots and sessions you gave up when you left stay given up.
